Mariner 4 represented the first successful flyby of the planet Mars, returning the first pictures of the Martian surface that were also the first images of another planet.
This is the complete set of the 22 raw frames obtained by Mariner 4.
Scanned from the 35-mm microfilm at the NSSDC, which contains calibrated, contrast-enhanced versions of the original pictures.
Cleaned from some dust and scratches, and converted into lossless PNG format.
